Faculty and staff are given different options regarding non-working, used, or old cellular devices purchased through ITS Cellular Services.
Please be sure to remove any data and passwords tied to the device.
What to do with Non-Working, Used, or Old University-Issued Cellular Devices
If the cell phone still has service on it, a Disconnect-Request must be submitted to end the service and to stop billing the department.
ITS no longer accepts non-working, old, or used cellular devices. Please see the options below.
If the device is in good condition:
- You can reissue it to another employee needing cellular service to perform their work duties.
- You can keep the device as a spare in case your current device stops working.
If the device is non-working, outdated, or no longer needed:
- Please be sure to remove any data and passwords tied to the device.
- Contact the Inventory Control Office at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a pickup. University-purchased cellular devices are subject to the same surplusing requirements as all other University-owned property.
