Video-conferencing (VTC) enabled rooms are located in every UConn campus. These video conferencing systems allow users to join Webex calls, and connect to other UConn/non UConn VTC rooms for intra-university distance learning.

UConn has three types of video conferencing classrooms available.

  • Full: You can teach to and from these classrooms via a WebEx connection or from another VTC equipped room. These rooms are used for intra-university distance learning.
  • Teach From: You can teach from but not to these classrooms via a WebEx connection or from another VTC equipped room. Your remote students can see you and your content and you can see and interact with them.
  • Seminar: You can teach to and from these rooms via a WebEx connection or from another VTC equipped room, since the camera is pointed at the conference table.

These rooms are controlled by a touch panel on the teaching station, which gives the user full control over all audiovisual features in the classroom. Learn how to operate the touch panel here: Classroom Quick Start Guide
